Marty's Sketch #8

For this week's sketch I used scrap pieces from the Stampin Up! lattice die and designer papers. I love this little collage piece, it was fun to make too!

Pins

So beacause I was snowed-in, and our flight to OH was cancelled I decided to craft... This turns out to be a bonus for 3 lucky ladies in OH because they are getting an extra present!! These are made out of felt, grommets, Stampin Up Dies, and Flat back pearls.

I love making paper lanterns! So much so that I have made them for Halloween and Christmas and have been experimenting with different designs. I will be holding a class with my meet up group to make them and people are excited about it... I plan to post step by step instructions but for now, here's picture of what's to come! They are very cool in the dark. Photos do not do them justice!

The mask is Completed!

So the mask is complete. The only thing I would have changed is the stick on the other side since I'm right handed I will not be able to muli-task with it. Well I think my identity will be consealed.

Masquerade Mask

Last night I tried my hand at making a "Masquerade Mask" for a Gala I will attend tomorrow...I looked everywhere and could not find a mask I liked so then I thought what the heck I'll just make it myself... So here it is... I still have to attach some red feathers and the stick but so far so good. I think it turned out better than anaything I saw in the mall!

Fabric Flower Head Band

So I've begun creating these flowers out of fabric wall covering. The wall covering are samples that I got from work. I also used a Stampin Up die, clear embossing power, versa ink, heat gun, and crystal effects. I love how they are coming out! I'm making pins and head bands for now. We'll see what else I come up with.

A Note About Me

I am an interior designer by trade. I have been interested in arts and crafts since my early days as a girl scout! I have experimented in many mediums from glass blowing, sculpture, wood technology, to all things paper! I joined the Stampin Up! demonstrator team in 2008. Stampin' Up! is a company that offers crafting supplies for all crafts paper related and then some... (Scrapbooking, card making) There are not many choices in Brooklyn for crafting supplies so joining Stampin Up! has given me access to some great supplies and great quality items too. This is my crafting space...my scrapbox!

My Husband also scrapbooks. He is interested in movie related scrapbooking. His collections is huge. there's no room in my scrapbox for him though!
